Hosea 4:6 says, "My people perish (are destroyed) for the lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge..." Why do we not speak about issues such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, lupus, diabetes, hepatitis, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, and the like and yes even AIDS in "our" community, in "our" churches and on "our" streets? Why are we silent? Why are we afraid to open our mouth and speak the truth about something that is killing us? Sickness and illness that comes in like a thief in a silent night, destroying our bodies. Stop the silence and lift every voice!!! Some of us race for the cure, but why not campaign for an answer? A campaign is defined as rallies and speeches, that are intended to persuade voters (the people with power) to vote (come into an agreement). So you have people with power entering into agreement/on One Accord. The president and people are seeking political office campaign to win your vote so they can get into an office to make decisions for you. We, as a people of a chosen generation, why not do the same? Campaign (rally the people together) to bring awareness to save a life in our community and on our streets. Make your own decision for life of freedom from sickness and suffering. In saving a life, we save our future.
